This is a placeholder for a post coming soon. I have been working on it, but this month is very busy for me so it is coming along slowly. Please check back. I think it will be thought-provoking, interesting, and informative for anyone interested in learning more about adoption, the adoption reform movement, and finally the anti-adoption movement. I'll also share some more personal experiences.
Edited to Add: See my post from today, September 16th. I finally made my first post on this topic, but wanted to do it on the front page of my blog so it received the proper viewing.

This sounds really interesting -- I know very little about the anti-adoption movement, but it's always been pretty difficult for me to understand. Admittedly, the only person I ever knew who was anti-adoption was a woman on LJ who insisted that she'd rather a child be aborted than adopted -- so I think she was probably pretty extreme, but I just can't get my head around that.
Although I do understand that the adoption system is, like most other systems in this country, badly in need of reform -- again, something I don't know much about, so I'd be interested to know some of your experience with it and insight into it.

"I would be very surprised to hear that you WERE!!"
Ah, but the real question is why not (and WHEN) did I become that way?!
myself included
I know. I really owe you all this post finally. I promise I *have* been working on it a little bit every day. It's turned out to be a bit of dissertation. There are so many things that have led up to my position, and so many points that seem important to me. My life should ease up just a little in about three weeks. Barring any absolute disasters, I will post on or before that time. I swear.
And dearest "antiadoption" (who I know from a parenting discussion board we share in common), if by "myself included," you meant you would be surprised too to learn I was anti-adoption, again, I think the interesting question is why and when did I develop my positions. Actually that is critical, because I am not in favor of reforms instead of anti-adoption because I am an adoptive parent. I am an adoptive parent after a long process of discernment and research and deep *listening* during which I formed some of my initial conclusions.
By "myself included" I meant, I am interested to read your positions.
I'm glad we are in community together.
By the way, sorry about how incoherent my sentences were in my comment. I was writing far too quickly, trying to rush off to get more work done.
No need to be sorry.
