WTF?!
I'm beginging to worry that the state of Washington is bankrupt. They owe us money. A fair amount. Every week they promise the glitch in their accounting/payments system has been fixed...essentially that the check is in the mail. Every day that envelope fails to appear in our mailbox. This has been going on since February.

How frustrating!! I've battled our state for money regarding fostering before, so I know how you feel. No excuse...none at all. Shame on them.
Do you have any recourse?
As for recourse, the money is legally/contractually owed to us I believe. But where to start. I haven't even been able to talk directly to the department that writes the checks. Urgh.
Ah, well a good news update. We did receive a small portion of the money owed to us. It is certainly a start. I also heard back that they are working on the rest. Keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks for your comments.
